Murdered journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová are to be become honorary citizens of the northern city of Žilina. The two were found dead in their home at the end of February in what investigators call a contract killing. Kuciak reported extensively on cases of alleged political corruption involving former Prime Minister Robert Fico, former Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák and local oligarchs and shady business owners.
