Serbs lead among foreigners working in Slovakia

As of the end of March 2018, almost 52,000 foreigners worked in Slovakia, representing a month-to-month increase of 1,400 people, wrote the SITA press agency citing the data of the Labour, Social and Family Issues Ministry on Monday. When looking at March 2017, the number increased by 12,800. Serbs are the largest group of foreigners on the Slovak job market (12,200) followed by Romanians (8,900) and Hungarians (5,100). Most of the foreigners - one third - worked in Bratislava, followed by the districts of Trnava and Malacky. In contrast, only eight foreigners worked in the Gelnica district.
