The Cabinet will deal with 14 draft laws at its session untraditionally held on Friday. If they are approved, the laws will be included in the agenda of the May parliamentary session. The leader of the governing Slovak National Party, Andrej Danko, asked Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) to reschedule the session from Wednesday to Friday, as the SNS wanted to discuss several governance-related issues with Pellegrini first. More on their meeting in the Topical issue. The Cabinet is about to adopt a Finance Ministry-sponsored proposal on introducing a new insurance tax as of October. The ministers will also discuss a proposal submitted by Education Minister Martina Lubyová concerning dual education which should enable employers willing to join to do so more efficiently and easily.
