Slovak economic growth predicted to leap this year

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects the growth rate of the Slovak economy to rise significantly this year, according to its most recent prognostication. The IMF's latest World Economic Outlook estimates real GDP growth of 4% in 2018, following 3.4% in 2017 and 3.3% in 2016. In their GDP forecast for 2019, they predict it will rise by 4.2%, which will be the country's sharpest growth in GDP since 2010, when Slovakia reached 5% growth. Consequently, consumer price rises are expected, with inflation to reach 1.9% this year.
