Slovakia is China's fourth largest partner in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) area in terms of trade, stated Council for Promoting South-South Cooperation (CPSSC) chairman Lyu Xinhua at a Slovak-Chinese business forum in Bratislava on Tuesday. "There's still potential for further development," stressed Lyu Xinhua, who's also heading the Chinese delegation in Slovakia. He added that China has large production potential as well as significant foreign exchange reserves to boost this development. However, Lyu Xinhua noted Slovakia's smaller population market size are obstacles for increasing investment in the country. "If a Chinese company set up a plant in Slovakia and needed, for example, 10,000 workers, that could be a problem," he said. He praised the country's favourable investment environment and high quality workforce.
