Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Smer-SD) believes that he'll come up with the name of a new interior minister within a few days, TASR learnt on Tuesday. Pellegrini, who has been tasked with heading the Interior Ministry on a temporary basis in the wake of Tomas Drucker's resignation, added that he'd like the Interior Ministry to have a new boss as soon as possible. Until the new minister is appointed, I'll do my best to make the ministry work smoothly, stated Pellegrini at a press conference in Bratislava. "I believe that the Smer-SD party will conclude talks on searching for the right candidate as soon as possible so that we can propose a new minister. A few days would be the optimal time for me, as it's a demanding and vast ministry, and I would welcome it if it had its boss as soon as possible," added the premier. Pellegrini refused to comment on possible candidates for the post that have been reported by the media.
