A member of the public alerted Nitra police on Sunday to the discovery of pieces of bacon skewered with toothpicks found in Klokočina park. In a statement on the Nitra police website, a concerned citizen called into the department to lodge a report that rectangles of bacon on toothpicks had been spread across one of the sidewalks in the park. The statement further reads that the informant suspected the pieces of bacon were dropped intentionally to harm dogs. Nitra police officers descended onto the location and combed the area and park entrance, locating and removing several more potentially dangerous delicacies.
