Almost 44% of Slovaks communicated with their friends and acquaintances most frequently in person, indicate the results of research by sociologists from Comenius University in Bratislava. Phone communication is most frequent for one third, and internet for one quarter of respondents. People over 65 prefer personal communication, those between 40 and 65 most frequently use a phone for their communication and young people use the internet for this type of communication. The use of phone and internet for communication grows with an increasing level of education. The survey was carried out by the MEDIAN SR agency with 1,404 people taking part in it with the support of the Slovak Research and Development Agency as part of comparative research carried out in 50 countries by the International Social Survey Programme.
