Tonight at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris the Slovak folk art ensemble SĽUK will perform their latest dance music project titled “Criss-cross”. The event is being held at the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The evening will also feature music from the Slovak group, Ťažká muzika. Slovak culture at the event will be represented by speeches, images, and several live performances including traditional Slovak costumes, shepherd's pipes, and Slovak bagpipes. The event has been prepared in cooperation with the Slovak Institute in Paris, with the Minister of Culture Marek Maďarič being in attendance.
