The year 2020 should be declared the Year of Slovak Theatre, according to the new Minister of Culture, Ľubica Laššáková (Smer-SD), who intends to follow in the steps of his predecessor Marek Maďarič in this respect. "We are preparing a number of activities and presentations at various levels in order to celebrate not only the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Slovak National Theatre (SND), but also the century of existence of professional theater in Slovakia in 2020", Laššáková said.
