The Airport of Milan Rastislav Štefánik in Bratislava belongs to top 10 airports in Eastern Europe according to the Skytrax - World Airport Awards 2018 survey. Bratislava Airport retained its position from last year, ranking 8th in the same category. Approximately 13 million travellers took part in the survey. They were evaluating 550 airports across the world, taking check-ins, arrivals, departures, shopping opportunities, safety, security and passport control into consideration.
