Livia Klausova has officially become the new Czech Ambassador to Slovakia. She handed over her credentials to President Ivan Gašparovič on Monday. A native of Bratislava, she is the wife of the former Czech president Vaclav Klaus. Her appointment triggered criticism in the Czech Republic as she lacks any professional experience in diplomacy.
