Minister of Agriculture Gabriela Matečná (Slovak National Party) suspects serious and targeted farming subsidy fraud was carried out by the company of former Smer party MP Ľubica Rošková, with links to civil servants, the daily Denník N reported on Tuesday. Journalist Andrej Bán reported on how Agro Porúbka linked to the former MP, as well as other companies, received direct payments from the EU for areas in where there was actually a parking lot, or for the walls or bushes near family homes. Ľubica Rošková denies that her company has received any subsidies illegally. The Chief of the Agricultural Paying Agency Juraj Kozuch wants to file a criminal complaint in this case. He said that the companies involved must have had insider information from state agencies.
