Vote of confidence continues in Slovak Parliament

The vote of confidence in the new reshuffled Slovak government which started last Friday is still continuing on Monday and will most likely not be concluded on the same day, since MPs are still having a long debate about it. Independent opposition MP Miroslav Beblavý also filed a proposal on changing the law on the Police Corps using a fast track procedure. Its main points are to choose the new president of police corps in an open way and for the inspection of the police corps to be detached from the Interior Ministry. Moreover a protest against the new government was scheduled for 5 pm. An actress from the Slovak National Theatre, Táňa Pauhofová, should read a letter from the families of murdered journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová.
