The so called "Migration Pact", being prepared by the United Nations General Assembly, was on the agenda of a meeting between Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák, and his Hungarian counterpart Péter Szijjártó. Hungary has had a problem with the migration pact, saying that if the agreement between the UN member states is too "pro-migration", they will follow in the footsteps of the US and withdraw from the pact. In this regard, Lajčák stressed the need to continue the debate in order to find a constructive solution to the global migration problem, taking into account all concerns that come from the UN member states - including state sovereignty, security, social stability, human rights and economic and financial factors.
