Small and medium-sized hospitals should see more money in their coffers as of next year. The Association of Slovak Hospitals (ANS), which clusters them, agreed with health insurers on a revision of payment terms for 2014.
The President of the association Marián Petko claims that the increase from health insurers will be enough to cover increased doctors’ pays, anchored in law. “I think that for most hospitals it will be an opportunity for talks with the Slovak trade union association about certain revisions of the salaries of all staff, medical as well as non-medical, as of April 1, 2014,” said Petko.
