More than 140 Slovak personalities and activists have signed a call addressed to political leaders in connection with the current political situation in the country, TASR learnt from Fair-Play Alliance chair Zuzana Wienk, who is the co-author of the initiative. Regarding the tense situation in society following the double murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová, the organisers of the initiative want the people concerned to meet several requirements, including the resignations of Police Corps President Tibor Gašpar and Special Prosecutor Dušan Kováčik. According to the organisers, departure of these people would restore people's lost confidence in the institutions. The petition also calls on the responsible institutions to adopt measures that would boost the work of the police, prosecutors and courts. The call has so far been signed by 145 personalities, including artists, academics, lawyers, entrepreneurs and activists.
