Education Minister Martina Lubyová has delayed a discussion on the new law on teachers and professional staff in education by three months. She has done so at the request of the Slovak Chamber of Teachers and school trade unions who have been involved in its preparation. The new bill was originally scheduled for discussion on April 16 and has been under preparation for several months. The ministry proposes to establish the Slovak Chamber of Teachers as a professional organization in the proposed bill. "We have to negotiate with dozens of different organizations and groups, and it is very difficult to direct this process in such a way that all organizations agree among each other," explained Lubyová.
