Government gives €3.5 million for ice hockey championship

The Slovak Government has earmarked 3,5 million euro for next year's Ice Hockey World Championship. The Championship will take place in the Slovak cities of Bratislava and Košice. A total of 2,5 million euro was allocated to the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation for organisation purposes. The remaining million will be divided in half between the Ondrej Nepela Arena in Bratislava and the Steel Arena in Košice and will be used for modernisation and reconstruction.
