Rating agency Moody's confirmed an A2 rating for Slovakia, wrote the TASR press agency last week. The positive outlook, also part of the result, increases the chances of the ranking being improved over a horizon of approximately one and a half years. As the Slovak Finance Ministry stated, the agency explains the rating by positive developments in the field of economic development in particular, and the continuously improving results of public finances. As of 2021, Moody's expects Slovak Gross domestic product to reach 3.2% annually. As possible risks, the agency sees the high openness of the Slovak economy and from a long term perspective, negative demographic development stemming from the continual ageing of the Slovak population.
