The Conference of Presidents of the European Parliament approved the sending of a special delegation to Slovakia, in order to carry out a fact-finding mission on Thursday and Friday, following the murders of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová. The delegation comprises German, British, Polish, Dutch, Hungarian and Italian MEPs from various political parties, who are meeting with representatives of non-governmental anti-corruption organisations, journalists, government and state officials and representatives of law enforcement and agricultural bodies. On returning from Slovakia, the members of the delegation will prepare a report that will be submitted to the European Parliament and the public.
