Streets closed as radioactive substance found in Košice

Police closed closed Jarmočná Street in Košice on Wednesday afternoon, following the discovery of a suspicious substance which was deemed to be radioactive by the Control Chemical Laboratory in Nitra. Dressed in protective clothing, firefighters transferred the substance into a special container, while both metropolitan and state police kept onlookers at a safe distance. No official information was provided.
