Immediately following a small collision which resulted in no injuries, two drivers were crushed by a truck on Perešská Street in Košice on Wednesday, which drove into the back of the stopped vehicles while they stood between them. Police, firefighters and ambulances were in attendance. Igor Krupa, spokesperson for the Košice Ambulance Service, stated that rescuers found the two male drivers involved, aged 66 and 51, on the ground with serious internal injuries. According to Krupa, although the vehicles were parked on the side of the road, an onlooker driving a truck inexplicably drove into the back of the two stopped vehicles, with the two drivers caught in between. The injured were conscious and transported to the University Hospital of Louis Pasteur in Košice. The accident and its circumstances are investigated by the police.
