PM reassures ambassadors and attacks President

Prime Minister Robert Fico accused President Andrej Kiska of destabilising the country instead of protecting its name abroad. The statement came after a meeting with ambassadors of EU member states and the US on Tuesday afternoon. Accompanied by Interior Minister Robert Kaliňak, he reassured ambassadors that the Slovak Government wants a proper investigation into the murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak. The diplomats did not make any statements to the media after the meeting. Fico repeated Monday's accusation that financier George Soros is behind Kiska's call for a Cabinet reshuffle or early elections. Both Soros and Kiska's cabinets had already denied the allegations.
