A new investment should bring jobs to 800 people in the central Slovak town of Veľký Krtíš, wrote the Sita press agency on Monday. Its press release writes that the international producer of car components SAM Automotive from Germany has decided to come to the district, where unemployment was at a level of 9.68% as of October 2017. As Anna Weissová, a marketer from Wesconi, s.r.o. Banská Bystrica said, the premises are prepared and the first 150 people should be employed this year. However, by 2023, when full capacities should be reached, further construction work should take place. The company expects to supply its products to VW Slovakia, Audi a Mercedes Benz Hungary. SAM Automotive was considering several localities. According to Werner Schmitz, executive manager of the Wesconi company, one of the decisive factors was Slovakia's good position in the car-making industry.
