Prime Minister accuses President of being manipulated from abroad

Prime Minister Robert Fico also reacted to President Andrej Kiska's call. The Prime Minister accused the President of having his statement written by somebody abroad. "This statement shows no knowledge of Slovak constitutional traditions and rules and has objectives that are at odds with the stability of our country," stated Robert Fico. He accused Andrej Kiska of denying the results of the 2016 elections and supporting the opposition, which "is speaking about the need for a coup in Slovakia". According to him, the reconstruction of the government can only be done by the coalition itself with no constitutional intervention by the President in the process. As Robert Fico added, early elections need to be okayed by 90 MPs.
