On Friday afternoon at 5pm thousands of people are expected to gather in about 20 localities all over Slovakia and abroad to commemorate journalist Ján Kuciak and his girlfriend Martina Kušnírová, who were shot dead last week. They have been organized by civil activists and journalists who underline that they are apolitical. In Bratislava, people will gather on the Hviezdoslavovo Square and march to Námestie slobody. In Eastern Slovakia, the final farewell to Martina Kušnírová will take place on Friday afternoon.
