Scientific institutions working to entice researchers to Slovakia

Following the successful implementation of the SASPRO Program, which has brought 38 foreign and local scientists to Slovakia, research institutions will again seek funding in order to continue. If co-funding is approved, the program SASPRO 2 would involve the largest Slovak universities, namely Comenius University (UK) and the Slovak Technical University (STU) in Bratislava, stated the Slovak Academy of Sciences (SAV) Spokesperson Monika Hucáková to TASR. "The current SASPRO program demonstrates that the mobility of scientists contributes to positive changes within SAV. We want to ensure a bridging period between the end of the SASPRO Program and the possible launch of the new SASPRO 2 Program, so we are currently analysing options to fund such a program from its own resources," said project coordinator Zuzana Hrabovská from SAV.
