The current situation of National Minorities in Slovakia was discussed by the High Commissioner of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) for national minorities Lamberto Zannier and Slovak deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lukáš Parízek, as well as with representatives of national minorities and Roma communities on Monday. Slovakia, which will take over the OSCE presidency next year, has pledged to implement the Action Plan for improving the situation of Roma and Sinti in the OSCE Area, which aims at stopping the segregation of Roma communities and achieve a significant positive turnaround in their social and economic inclusion.
