Prize money for successful athletes at the Olympics

Slovakia's most successful biathlete Anastasiya Kuzmina should receive some €136,000 as a reward for earning three medals (one gold and two silver) and placing fifth in the women's biathlon relay at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, according to the SME daily. The Slovak Olympic Committee (SOV) rewards the athletes if they rank among the top six at the Olympics. In addition to Kuzmina, smaller rewards for the Winter Olympics will be given to skier Petra Vlhová (€8,000 for fifth place in the women's Alpine combined), biathlete Paulína Fialková (€8,000 for fifth place in the women's 15 kilometre individual competition and €6,000 for fifth place in the women's relay) and biathletes Ivona Fialková and Terézia Poliaková (€6,000 each for fifth place in the relay).
