Graduates of specialized high schools made up the largest portion among the unemployed as of the end of 2017, said Labour Minister Ján Richter last week. According to him, this situation proves that there is a need of strategic planning in the field of high schools. High school graduates made up 45% of all unemployed graduates. Another large group were university graduates with a second university degree. As opposition Freedom and Solidarity party cited data from the Financial Institute Policy on its website, 12-14% graduates leave the country and Slovakia thus loses €44.8 million each year.
