Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš, in reaction to a court decision in Slovakia on Tuesday, again asserted that his record as a secret agent for the erstwhile Czechoslovak communist secret service (StB) was unjustified. Bratislava Regional Court rejected Babiš's lawsuit against Slovakia's Nation's Memory Institute (UPN), which released the StB records that included Babis, born in Slovakia. This verdict followed a decision of the Constitutional Court last year, which overturned a ruling of the Slovak Supreme Court and earlier also of a district court that Babiš's registration as StB agent was unjustified. "My lawyers are saying that they'll sue the [Slovak] Interior Ministry, the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS), and perhaps we'll even go to the European Court of Human Rights. So don't say that I've definitely lost," said Babiš, according to Czech news website Novinky.cz. The Slovak Nation's Memory Institute has welcomed the court decision.
