Police officers from the Alien Police Department in Trnava, in cooperation with their counterparts in Bratislava and the Trnava Labour Inspectorate, executed a surprise visit in Senica on Tuesday, stated police spokesperson Denisa Baloghová. The raid aimed at checking the eligibility of residence of third-country nationals on the territory of the Slovak Republic, checking adherence to residence laws, and checking for the illegal employment of alien residents. "Police officers checked the details of 48 Serb and 21 Bosnia and Herzegovina nationals," added Baloghová. During the event, ten offences were identified in the Senica company, which resulted in fixed penalties. "The alien residents violated the Aliens' Residence Act, which requires them to prove their identity and residency to police by presenting valid travel documents and residence documents," Baloghová said.
