Slovak head politicians react to Russian air tragedy

Slovak President Andrej Kiska sent a telegram of condolences to his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin expressing his sincere sympathy for the families of those who died in the tragic crash of a Russian civilian plane near Moscow on Sunday. "Even though air transport is statistically the safest, sometimes it takes a cruel tax," wrote Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico on his social media profile. "I am with all the families of the victims in my thoughts, whose close ones will not come back home," reacted Speaker of the Slovak Parliament Andrej Danko, also on social media. On Sunday, a Russian airliner crashed after leaving Moscow's Domodedovo airport, killing all 65 passengers and six crew on board. The Antonov An-148 aircraft was en route to the city of Orsk in the Ural Mountains. The cause of the crash is unclear.
