Slovak Army Police return from their first naval mission

The Slovak Army Police has arrived from the EUNAVFOR MED Sophia operation, where they helped restrict trafficking of people from Africa to Europe, wrote the SITA press agency last week. As Defence Ministry's spokesperson Danka Capáková stated, it was the first naval mission for the ten Slovaks, who took part in 18 rescue and control operations. According to Marián Saloň, Deputy Defence Minister, this was the first naval operation Slovakia has taken part in, despite the absence of Naval Armed Forces.
