The new law on regional investment assistance passed by Parliament this week has three objectives: eliminating regional disparities, turning Slovakia's economy into a modern one and a further raise of salaries, stated Prime Minister Robert Fico on Thursday. Abandoning the requirement for jobs to be created in industrial production is the major change in the law. It will come into force as of April 2018.
