Two parallel fairs devoted to tourism and gastronomy - Slovakiatour and Danubius Gastro, opened in Bratislava on Thursday. More than 700 exhibitors from over 20 countries are taking part in the event. Transport and Construction Minister Arpad Ersek in his opening speech said that tourism is doing well in the country, as more than four million people visited Slovakia last year. Ersek went on to say that Slovakia presents itself appropriately at various international exhibitions and fairs, provides information for journalists and the professional public, while adapting to the present-day digital boom. Both Slovakiatour and Danubius Gastro are accompanied by a rich programme and are open until Sunday, January 28.
