Future Slovak economic policy to be set in strategic document

As an industrial country, Slovakia must be able to adapt to changes in industry, which represents one of the reasons behind the Economy Ministry drafting a strategy for economic policy until 2030, Economy Minister Peter Žiga said at a conference organised by the Slovak Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday. According to Žiga, Slovakia currently lacks a comprehensive economic policy, a fact that has prompted him to draft the strategy. "The strategy outlines Slovakia's standing with respect to EU and global trends, identifies areas important in terms of securing macroeconomic stability, the development of the business environment as well as sustainable growth of the economy and employment as a guarantee of social development," claimed the minister. The minister also considers it crucial to support the business environment by passing another package of measures aimed at cutting red tape for entrepreneurs when joining the dual education system.
