On Friday, Defence Minister Peter Gajdoš took part in a memorial service in the Hungarian village of Hejce on Friday, commemorating victims of the aircraft crash which took place in 2007, whereby a Slovak Air Force AN-24 crashed into a hill near Hejce in Hungary while transporting Slovak soldiers from Kosovo. Out of the 43 on board the aircraft, there was only one survivor, Martin Farkaš, who was in the aircrafts lavatory when the plane hit trees and disintegrated, sustaining serious injuries. Farkaš, now a Captain in the army, attended the ceremony.
