Firefighters had to evacuate an apartment building in Trnava on J G Tajovského Street on Wednesday, due to a fire breaking out inside a flat on the second floor, with smoke spreading to the surrounding areas. "The event also required the transfer four people to the hospital for treatment," said Júlia Kedrová, spokesperson for the Regional Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps in Trnava. Preliminary damage to the property has been estimated at €25,000 with an investigation underway into the cause of the blaze.
