Slovak Transport and Construction Minister Árpád Érsek and his Polish counterpart Andrzej Adamczyk signed a joint declaration on transport investments in the border area, confirming the need to continue with preparations for constructing the D3 motorway and the S1 expressway in Poland within the Baltic-Adriatic corridor. Another key transit route of interest is the R4 expressway in the east of Slovakia, which continues in Poland, having 27 kilometres left to build on the Slovak side. "I think that we can complete them by 2022-23. I'm saying this because these sections are being prepared at different levels and are very complicated," said Érsek.
