Lactalis products withdrawn from Slovak market

Amilk Bifido produced by the French company Lactalis was withdrawn from the Slovak market as a preventative measure, according to a spokesperson for the Dr. Max pharmacies network which had it on offer. Lactalis is at the centre of a scandal involving contamination with salmonella and has already recalled baby formula products from markets in 83 countries. Slovak public health authorities say that so far they have no information that products on the local market might also be contaminated. Those products withdrawn as a preventative measure are being held in quarantine and will be returned to the distributor.
