The Slovak women's basketball champions, Good Angels Košice, qualified for the quarterfinals of EuroBasket, the second most important club competition in Europe, after defeating Basket Landes of France on Thursday. The Slovak team managed to overcome a 14 points handicap from the first leg. They will now play against the Italian team Reyer Venezia in the quarterfinals. The first match is scheduled for January 25th in Košice with the return leg to be played on February 1st.
