The Slovak president is glad that foreign countries have recognized yet another Slovak top-class economist. Andrej Kiska stated this on his social network account in reaction to the 2018 European Finance Minister award, which the prestigious The Banker magazine issued to the Slovak finance minister Peter Kažimír. The President moreover added that he expects the minister to succeed in ending the electoral term of the current Government with a balanced budget. Peter Kažimír is the third Slovak finance minister to receive the award. Ivan Mikloš received it in 2004 and Ján Počiatek in 2008.
