The Slovak Republic will become a member of the UN Human Rights Council as of 1stFor the next three years, its priorities will be the fight against racism, xenophobia, sustainable development including the support of children's rights and support for religion, faith and tolerance for religions. The Slovak Foreign Ministry issued a statement claiming that Slovakia finds its appointment for a member of this most important human rights authority to be an international reward for its lasting activities in the sphere of human rights.
