Snow and strong wind - that's the weather forecast for the High Tatra mountains area for the upcoming weekend. The rescuers appeal to all those who want to spend New Year's Eve in the Slovak mountains to postpone their planned hikes. Fresh snow is lying on an icy terrain causing not only falls by tourists but also increasing the chance for avalanches. Last Christmas, 4 people died and over 20 were heavily injured within 2 days.
