Investments which are being prepared for next year by investors could create more than 30,000 new jobs, Economy Minister Peter Žiga (Smer-SD) told the TASR news agency. "We have 76 projects in the amount of €4 billion. According to information from investors, this should apply to 31,000 new jobs," he said. However, these are not all completed projects, and Slovakia is still competing over some of those with neighbouring countries. The already announced investments should be in the field of automotive production, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, information technology and service centres. "The investments come mainly from Germany, Japan, the UK and other countries," added the minister.
