Christmas is over but sellers do not want people to stop shopping, so they are luring customers in with sales, the Hospodárske Noviny daily reported on Wednesday. According to the daily, retailers started this year's sales sooner. In addition to brick-and-mortar shops, Slovaks also like online stores, which are reporting increasingly higher revenues every year. However, the SME daily warns in its Thursday edition that customers should not be lured by surprisingly high discounts, which might be the result of artificially inflated prices during online retailers' low traffic.
