Peter Sagan is Slovak athlete of the year

Cyclist Peter Sagan became for the third time the Slovak athlete of the year. This was decided by the poll carried out by Slovak sport journalists. The winner of the third world champion title in a row won over two female skiers Petra Vlhová and Veronika Velez-Zuzulová. Both of them also won an award in the category of the top team of the year. Together with Matej Falat and AndreasŽampa, they formed the mixed team which won the silver medal at the 2017 world championship in alpine skiing.
