This year's last meeting of the European Council, which begins on Thursday in Brussels, will address issues of security, migration, as well as social pillars. At the meeting, the leaders of the 27 European states are also expected to move talks on Brexit into the second phase. Before the Council meeting, the Slovak PM Robert Fico should meet with his colleagues from the Visegrad 4 group, including two new Prime ministers - the Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš and the Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. In Brussels, Visegrad 4 countries should officially announce the financing of a project for the integrated protection of the Libyan border. Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland each contribute € 35 million to help training the local units to safeguard the border against massive migration to the EU.
